This is what a friend of mine wrote in response to one of my dreams. The dream itself is almost moot. What I find fascinating is how accurate she was (with the exception of the connections to my mom. Those I don't really see/agree with). Enjoy.
This dream shows that you are at a crossroads of sorts. You know you need to face your future and possibly move on to a new project or a new phase of life (opening the front door, and Moi, the beautiful woman on a unicorn/pegasus in your front yard ☺), but part of you is suspicious and reluctant of change (Nickolas) while another more mature part of you realizes that change is natural and normal and positive (Andy).
You don’t know what you should do because you are having problems getting in touch with your emotions and what you REALLY want to do, deep down. A contributing factor is your tendency to be a perfectionist, and it’s often impossible for you to reach the high standards you set for yourself. You can be very critical of yourself, and need to keep this in mind so that you won’t be so hard on yourself (sorry I keep saying yourself). If you pay attention to this tendency you can channel your ambition and drive into achieving your dreams rather than just beating yourself up. The dream is asking you to be nicer to yourself and you will be able to heal.
You need to get in touch with your emotions, and being gentler with yourself will help you do this. It’s very important that you realize your value and love yourself as you are. According to the dream, it looks like these issues have a lot to do with your mom, I can’t remember what you told me about your relationship with her, though, so I’m not sure if this is accurate (pink pretty much always symbolizes problems with mom). Did it feel like her love was conditional, or that she didn’t bond with you properly? Whatever it is the pink in the dream seems to be saying that the pain from this is keeping you from addressing your feelings and opening your heart completely.
With the pink is silver, which is ALWAYS positive in dreams. It indicates that by nature you are very intuitive, and whenever you are ready you can connect with your higher self and receive wisdom on events and issues around you, like when you feel like you just know something without a logical reason for knowing it. The dream is a request for you to value your intuitive abilities and develop them further. Any insecurities related to your relationship with your mother can get in the way, so try not to let them.
Your intuitive gifts mean that you naturally have great insight and understanding, and you are a natural leader/teacher. You have the ability to empower others to face their challenges, and the dream seems to be saying that you have a responsibility to share and develop these abilities. Bossy dream!
The dream is also asking you to take the next step and move towards a new phase. There are opportunities that you do not want to miss. It’s time to move forward and develop your abilities, and leave old stuff behind. Again the dream emphasizes your leadership/teaching abilities, and the need for you to heal and get in touch with your emotions (are you having any tummy trouble? The dream seems to be saying that you might be, or that you might if you don’t address things soon). Crying is very healing in dreams and may have been a step towards getting in touch with your feelings. Don’t be nervous that opportunities will pass you by, you will know what to do and have the strength and confidence to take the steps you need to take.
