Which hat?

So my Content Manager hat has been retired. I posted (elsewhere) that when one door closes, another one opens, but hopefully it won't be of the bathroom stall variety. Yet, here I am, with the offer of several more hats, and I keep trying them on wondering which of them I should keep; and whether or not they were ever found on the bathroom floor before being dusted off and handed to ME to wear.

The first is easy: I have accepted the new Community Council hat. That one will give me a sense of community service and help that I am used to. The next one was also easy to accept: I am now a bonafide Grant Writer. Easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy, as my daughter would say. Perhaps I should also note my other collection of hats: I have the well-worn, yet very comfortable Mom hat, the Invisible Partner hat (my hubby gave me that one), CEO of the Family hat, and a PR hat that I'm not sure fits me very well. It's a bit small.

Here's the glitch: I can't wear all my hats at once. And there are a couple of hats that are being offered to me that I'm wary of accepting. One hat in particular, is another PR hat that is designed to look like a "gateway to editing" hat. I still have my Editor's hat... it's a bit dusty, but was recently salvaged for a plunge or two. It still fits nicely. In fact, it's one of my favorite hats to wear. But in order for me to get to wear it frequently, I have to first parade around in the second PR hat. You know, the one that doesn't quite fit me..... What to do?
